Colors

The thing women have yet to learn is that nobody gives you power.  You just take it.                                        ~Roseanne Barr

Well, I do believe Roseanne probably could have used a little more tact at times. However, she is right. Have you ever known anyone with power that was meek and shy? It isn’t so much the power over other people that is essential, but the power over oneself. If others walk over you and take advantage of you then they have power, not you.If you can get what you want and need yourself, then you have power. It’s a hard thing to come by. It takes confidence to assume you can make your own decisions; and survive your own mistakes. It’s important to remember always that life is full of color. It is not black and white. There are different colors, shades and hues. So the choices a person makes shouldn’t be judged in black and white either. Often something you decide to do works for a while and then it doesn’t work anymore. When it no longer works it isn’t necessarily a mistake; it’s just out of style for you.If you decide to paint a room a different color it doesn’t mean the previous color was wrong. It’s just time for something different.
